| 설명 | 환자의 병든 골수 대신 건강한 골수세포를 이식하는 처치-암치료에 방사선요법이나 화학요법을 썼을 경우 그 부작용으로 골수의 기능이 극도로 나빠졌을 때나 또는 백혈병의 경우에 면역요법으로 이용된다. 방법은 건강한 골수액을 채취하여 인산완충액을 섞은 링거액에 부유시켜 여과한 다음 정맥에 주사한다. 주입한 골수가 체내에 착상하여 번식하기 쉽게 할 목적으로 미리 X선을 조사하여 이식받는 환자의 항체기능을 억제해 둘 필요가 있다. 이 조작은 급성 방사능증을 일으키기 때문에 여러 가지 보호치료가 필요하다. 그러나 골수를 이식하면 급성 방사능증을 가볍게 넘길 수 있다고 하여 반대로 방사능을 대량으로 조사받은 사람에게 그 치료법으로 이용되기도 한다. 이식에는 스스로의 골수세포를 미리 채취해 놓고 후에 자신에게 주입하는 자가이식과 일란성쌍둥이의 한쪽에서 골수세포를 주입하는 동계이식 및 조직적합항원이 일치한 타인의 골수세포를 주입하는 동종이식이 있다. 대상병으로 백혈병, 재생불량빈혈, 선천면역결핍증 등이 있다. 일반적으로 강력한 면역억제제의 투여가 필요하다. 부작용으로서는 골수이식 후 이식편대숙주병, 기회감염 등이 있다. |

| 설명 | 얼굴볼부분의 돌출을 만드는 뼈이며 눈확의 아래 바깥쪽에 위치한다. 대략 마름모꼴이며 위턱뼈, 이마뼈 및 관자뼈의 광대뼈돌기에 끼어 있다. 관자돌기는 뒤쪽으로 돌출하여 관자뼈의 광대뼈돌기와 연결하며 광대뼈활을 만든다. 몸체는 4면이 있으며 아래쪽 내면은 위턱뼈의 광대뼈돌기와 봉합한다. 바깥쪽면에는 광대뼈얼굴구멍이 개구된다. 위쪽 내면은 눈확면이며 광대뼈눈확구멍이 개구된다. 후면은 옆머리면이며 광대뼈 옆머리구멍이 개구된다. 이들 3구멍은 몸체를 관통하는 광대뼈관에 의해 서로 연락되며 광대뼈신경이 지나간다. |

| 설명 | 구성－뼈(뼈조직). 이 조직은 굉장히 단단한 조직으로 뼈모세포에 의해서 생성된다. 뼈모세포가 생성한 이 조직은 뼈세포라는 세포를 동심원모양으로 쌓고 있다. 태아시기에는 모든 뼈가 연골조직으로 되어있다. 이런 연골조직이 발생하면서 점점 칼슘염의 침착에 의해서 뼈조직이 생긴다. 그리고 어린이의 경우에는 뼈끝판(epiphyseal plate)라는 곳이 있는데 이곳도 역시 연골조직으로 되어있어서 지속적으로 연골조직을 만들고 칼슘염의 침착이 생겨서 뼈의 성장이 된다. 양쪽에 넓어진 곳을 뼈끝(epiphysis)라고 하고 막대모양의 중간부분을 뼈몸통(diaphysis)라고 하고 이 양쪽의 이행부위를 뼈몸통끝(metaphysis)라고 한다. 뼈끝과 뼈몸통끝의 경계부위에 어린이에게선 뼈끝판(epiphyseal plate)라는 것이 존재하는데, 이곳은 연골조직으로 되어있으며 뼈의 길이성장에 중요한 역할을 하는 것이다. 어른이 되면 이곳의 연골조직은 모두 골조직으로 변화되어 줄모양의 흔적이 남는데, 이것을 뼈끝선이라고 한다. 긴뼈를 절단해 보면 겉으로는 매우 단단하고 조직이 치밀하고, 그 안쪽에는 겉에 비해서 무르고, 조직이 성긴 곳이 있는 걸 알 수가 있다. 겉의 단단한 곳을 치밀뼈(compact bone) 혹은 겉질뼈(cortical bone)이라고 한다. 여기에는 뼈조직이 동심원 모양을 이루고 치밀하게 배열되어 있고 그 동심원 내부에는 뼈세포가 위치하고 있다. 그리고 동심원의 중간에는 관이 있어서 이곳을 통해서 혈액과 영양분이 공급되는데 이관을 중심관(하버스관)이라고 한다. 그리고 내부에 위치한 성긴 곳을 갯솜뼈(Sponge Bone)이라고 한다. 역시 뼈조직으로 이루어진 곳이지만 그 배열이 치밀뼈에 비해서 성기고 외부의 힘에 대한 저항도 약한 조직이다. 이 조직의 내부에는 혈액의 세포를 생성하는 골수라는 것이 존재한다. 짧은 뼈(short bone)－손목이나 발목에서 볼 수 있는 짧고 모양이 불규칙한 뼈. 납작뼈(flat bone)－머리나 골반의 뼈와 같이 납작한 모양의 뼈. 종자뼈(sesamoid bone)－작고 구형인 뼈. 관절주위에 존재한다. 개개인에 따라서 존재하기도 하고 그렇지 않기도 한다. |

| oral candidiasis | <gastroenterology, microbiology, oncology> Infection with a fungus of the genus Candida. It is usually a superficial infection of the moist cutaneous areas of the body and is generally caused by Candida albicans, it most commonly involves the skin (dermatocandidiasis), oral mucous membranes (oral candidiasis), respiratory tract (bronchocandidiasis) and vagina (vaginal candidiasis or thrush). Rarely there is a systemic infection or endocarditis. Oral candidiasis: describes a fungal (yeast) infection of the oral cavity due to Candida. It is common in infants, diabetics or those on chemotherapy and is well recognised in patients with HIV infection and AIDS. Oesophageal candidiasis: Infection of the oesophagus by the yeast-like fungus Candidal albicans. Usually occurs in the immunocompromised individual (AIDS or following chemotherapy). Oral candidiasis is a predisposing factor but oesophageal involvement can occur without evidence of infection in the oral cavity. Symptoms include difficulty swallowing, pain on swallowing and oral lesions. Diagnosis is made using endoscopy. Treatment is with antifungal agents such as ketoconazole or fluconazole.
