| 설명 | 골반주위의 장기에 발생하는 염증을 말함. 주로 여성에서 발생하며 원인은 임균(gonococcus)과 비임균에 의한 감염(non-gonorrheal infection)에 의한다. 증상은 초기에는 질분비물, 하복부동통, 여성의 생식기부위에 발생하는 압통, 월경통, 월경량의 증가 등이다. 일찍 치료해야 하며, 계속적으로 병이 지속시 여성의 불임의 원인이 된다. 후진국에서는 가장 많은 여성불임의 원인이기도 함. 치료는 항생제의 투여이다. |

| 설명 | 갑상샘의 비대와 갑상샘호르몬의 과다분비가 특징인 병이다. 이 병은 주로 25~50세에 호발하고 주로 여자에게서 많이 생긴다. 갑상샘 호르몬은 저장되어 있는 에너지를 소모하여 신체의 대사율을 높이는 호르몬이므로 입맛이 좋은 데도 불구하고 계속적인 체중의 감소, 그리고 축적된 에너지를 소모하여 열생많이 하여서 더위를 참기 힘들어하고 만성 쇠약감이나 근력의 약화를 보일 수가 있다. 그리고 눈에 특징적인 증상이 나타나는데 눈꺼풀이 비정상적으로 위로 올라가 있고, 눈이 아래의 물건을 주시할 경우에 눈꺼풀이 정상적으로는 처져야 하지만 갑상샘 호르몬이 과도하게 나올 경우에는 눈꺼풀이 처지지 않는다. 또 눈알이 앞쪽으로 돌출하는 안구돌출을 볼 수가 있다. 또 피부가 아주 부드럽고 물기가 많아서 축축하다. 그리고 특징적으로 하지의 앞쪽에 피부가 두꺼워져 국소적 융기를 이루는 것이 있는데 이것은 이 병의 특징적인 병터이다. |

| 설명 | 기능적 혈관 경련을 일으키는 병으로 건강한 젊은 여성의 팔다리 작은 동맥을 침범한다. 프랑스 의사 M.레이노(1834~1881)가 보고한 것으로 이 병은 주로 손가락, 손, 때로는 코끝이나 발등, 몸의 말단부 소동맥을 침범한다. 한냉과 감정자극에 의하며 손가락은 백색으로 다음은 청색으로, 그리고 적색으로 변한다. 여성에게 호발한다. |

| 설명 | 사슬알균감염 후 생기는 심장판막병이다. 원인은 A군 -용혈사슬알에 의한 인두염후 일종의 면역반응으로 발병한다. 진단은 존의 기준에 의한다. (1) 주요기준은 관절염 심장염(심장비대, 심장잡음, 심장기능상실 등) 무도증: 무당이 춤을 추는 것 같은 행동의 발작증세. 연변홍반: 빨간 테두리를 가진 피부병변은 피하결절(subcutaneous nodule): 피부 밑에 생긴 결절, (2)참고 기준은 열, 관절통, EKG상 PR연장: 심전도 소견 급성기 반응물질(예: ESR, CRP)의 상승, 류마티스열 치료는 페니실린으로 치료하고 심장의 후유증 또한 페니실린으로 예방한다. |

| 설명 | 만성적으로 기도의 폐쇄를 가져오는 병을 이르는 말. 대개 만성기관지염, 기관지 천식, 폐기종의 3가지 병을 말한다. 만성기관지염이란 기관지의 만성염증을 말한다. 기관지의 염증으로 인해서 기관지의 점막에 부종이 생기고 이로 인해서 기관지의 내경이 좁아져서 기도의 폐쇄를 가져온다. 대개 흡연과 밀접한 연관을 가지며, 호흡곤란, 기침, 그리고 가래(대개 색이 푸르고 점도가 높은 가래)가 증상으로 나타난다. 폐기종은 기관지의 벽을 지지하는 조직의 파괴에 의해서 기관지가 제 모양을 갖추지 못하고 무너지게 되어 기도의 폐쇄가 일어나는 병이다. 즉 기관지가 관 모양으로 팽팽하게 펴지는 것을 지지하는 조직의 파괴에 의해서 관모양으로 펴지지 못해 결국은 폐포내에 공기가 차고 폐포벽이 파열되고 기관지가 좁아지게 되는 병을 말한다. 기관지천식이란 여러 가지 자극에 대해서 기관지가 과민한 반응을 보여서 생기는 기관지의 가역적인 폐쇄를 의미한다. 즉 정상인에게서는 기관지의 폐쇄를 보이지 않는 자극에 대해서 기관지의 폐쇄가 생기고 그 자극이 없을 경우에는 기관지의 폐쇄가 없어지는 병을 말한다. |

The development of cirrhosis is directly related to the duration and quantity of alcohol consumption. | altitude disease | A condition that results from prolonged exposure to high altitude. Symptoms include a continuous dry cough, shortness of breath, poor exercise tolerance, dizziness, headache, sleep difficulty, anorexia, confusion, fatigue and a rapid pulse.
