| dyne |
a friend of Barret in Corel, and father of Marlene. He was the main voice of dissent in the town against Shinra's Mako Reactor. When Shinra attacked the town, he and Barret both lost a forearm each, and both had them replaced with guns; Dyne was driven mad and eventually sent to the Desert Prison. There, he attacks Barret and subsequently commits suicide after he finds out his daughter is still alive.
