| Denuce's ligament | <anatomy> Fibres that pass from the distal margin of the radial notch of the ulna to the neck of the radius. Synonym: ligamentum quadratum, Denuce's ligament. (05 Mar 2000) |

| synovial ligament | <anatomy> One of the large synovial folds in a joint. (05 Mar 2000) |
| diaphragmatic ligament of the mesonephros | The segment of the urogenital ridge that extends from the mesonephros to the diaphragm; becomes the suspensory ligament of the ovary. Synonym: urogenital mesentery. (05 Mar 2000) |
| dorsal calcaneocuboid ligament | <anatomy> See: bifurcate ligament. (05 Mar 2000) |
| dorsal carpal ligament | A strong fibrous band formed as a thickening of the antebrachial deep fascia, stretching obliquely across the back of the wrist, attaching deeply to ridges on the dorsal aspect of the radius, triquetral and pisiform bones, binding down the extensor tendons of the fingers and thumb. Synonym: retinaculum extensorum, dorsal carpal ligament, ligamentum carpi dorsale. (05 Mar 2000) |
| dorsal cuboideonavicular ligament | <anatomy> The ligament that unites the dorsal surfaces of the cuboid and navicular bones of the tarsus. Synonym: ligamentum cuboideonaviculare dorsale. (05 Mar 2000) |
| dorsal cuneocuboid ligament | <anatomy> The fibrous band that unites the dorsal margins of the lateral cuneiform and cuboid bones. Synonym: ligamentum cuneocuboideum dorsale. (05 Mar 2000) |
| dorsal radiocarpal ligament | <anatomy> The ligament that extends from the distal end of the radius posteriorly to the proximal row of carpal bones. Synonym: ligamentum radiocarpale dorsale. (05 Mar 2000) |
| dorsal talonavicular ligament | <anatomy> The broad band that passes from the dorsal side of the neck of the talus to the dorsal surface of the navicular bone. Synonym: ligamentum talonaviculare, talonavicular ligament. (05 Mar 2000) |
| duodenorenal ligament | <anatomy> A fold of peritoneum occasionally passing from the termination of the hepatoduodenal ligament to the front of the right kidney. Synonym: ligamentum duodenorenale. (05 Mar 2000) |
| iliofemoral ligament | <anatomy> A triangular ligament attached by its apex to the anterior inferior spine of the ilium and rim of the acetabulum, and by its base to the anterior intertrochanteric line of the femur; the strong medial band is attached to the lower part of the intertrochanteric line; the strong lateral part is fixed to the tubercle at the upper part of this line; the bands diverge, forming a Y-like figure with a weak area between; among the strongest of the body's ligaments, it limits extension at the hip joint. Synonym: ligamentum iliofemorale, Bertin's ligament, Bigelow's ligament, hypsiloid ligament, Y-shaped ligament. (05 Mar 2000) |
| iliolumbar ligament | <anatomy> The strong ligament that connects the fourth and fifth lumbar vertebrae with the ilium, spanning the "notch" between the vertebral column and the wing of the ileum. Synonym: ligamentum iliolumbale. (05 Mar 2000) |
| iliopectineal ligament | A thickened band of fused iliac and psoas fascia passing from the posterior aspect of the inguinal ligament anteriorly across the front of the femoral nerve to attach to the iliopectineal eminence of the hip bone posteriorly. The iliopectinal arch thus forms a septum which subdivides the space deep to the inguinal ligament into a lateral muscular lacunae and a medial vascular lacunae. When a psoas minor muscle is present, its tendon of insertion blends with the iliopectineal arch. Synonym: arcus iliopectineus, iliopectineal ligament, ligamentum iliopectineale. (05 Mar 2000) |
| iliotrochanteric ligament | <anatomy> The lateral strong band of the Y-shaped iliofemoral ligament; it is attached below to the tubercle at the upper part of the intertrochanteric line. (05 Mar 2000) |
| impression for costoclavicular ligament | <anatomy> An irregular pitted area on the inferior surface of the clavicle at its sternal end, giving attachment to the costoclavicular ligament. Synonym: impressio ligamenti costoclavicularis, costal tuberosity, rhomboid impression, tuberositas costalis. (05 Mar 2000) |
