A schema is a collection of database objects owned by a particular user and is identified by the user's name. Schema objects include tables, views, sequences, and indexes. Tables belonging to one user's schema cannot be part of another user's schema.

A schema defines the structure of data, ie which fields it contains. Eg an Experiment schema could define the fields as "date", "species", and "method". With traditional databases, the schema is rigidly defined by programmers; Axiope is unusual in making it easy to define your own schema just by editing a form.
