a generalized symmetrical scaling eczematous dermatitis, followed by migratory necrolysis of the upper epidermis, liquefaction of the granular layer, and subcorneal clefting, flaccid bulla formation, erosions, crusts, and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is usually seen on the central part of the face, lower abdomen, perineum, groin, buttocks, thighs, and lower legs in association with a glucagonoma. See also glucagonoma syndrome, under syndrome.
