A large medical machine that uses microwave energy to accelerate electrons to nearly the speed of light. As the electrons reach maximum speed, they collide with a metal target to release X-rays. The accelerator rotates around the patient to deliver the radiation therapy from almost any angle.

Linear plotting is often the result of a determined Story-Teller (qv) GM or games designer, or simply an unimaginative one, who conceives of a scenario consisting of a complete set of incidents leading to a single conclusion, and who is not prepared, practically or emotionally, for any deviation by players from this plan.
