line A colloquial term with several meanings. It may be used to mean a particular type of insurance, such as the Liability "line." It may be used to describe all the various types of insurance written for a property owner, eg, carrying all "lines" of the XYZ Company. It is also used to describe the amount of insurance on a given property, eg, a $250,000 "line" on buildings of the XYZ Company. (G)
