| injunction |
This is an order forbidding someone from doing something - for example harassing someone, threatening them, or coming within a certain distance of a property. If the person whom the order is against breaches it, we can make an application to the court for their committal to prison. The court can also attach a power of arrest where there is a risk of violence.
