Dichroa a genus of plants of the family Saxifragaceae. D. febrifu´ga Lour. is a shrub found in China, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, called ch'ang shan by the Chinese; its root, also called ch'ang shan, is used medicinally as a treatment for malaria.
