| natural selection |
The process which simply states that the types of creatures which reproduce the most overall will end up with the most numbers in the end (logical, no?). The two classic things which natural selection pushes for are being able to survive longer (and thus having more time to reproduce), and being able to reproduce faster.

is the process by which the "organisms best suited to their environment are the ones most likely to survive. This process has also been called survival of the fittest." (World Book Encyclopaedia, Volume N, p. 65) Charles Darwin is credited with first explaining this theory but the work of AR Wallace must not be forgotten.
