Repeated near-lethal behaviour while denying suicide intent. A common version is repetitive unintentional drug overdoses, requiring emergency treatment. Can arise from personality disturbances, without having major psychiatric symptoms. Subjects tend to resist coercive treatment but may need to be hospitalized involuntarily and/or receive long-term rehabilitation treatment if the behaviour is increasing in frequency.
