An Internet host used to be a single machine connected to the Internet (which meant it had a unique IP address). As a host, it made available to other machines on the network certain services. However, virtual hosting has now meant that one physical host can now be actually many virtual hosts.

A hospital is a facility licensed to provide care and treatment for sick or injured patients, primarily while they are acutely ill or chronically ill. It must have facilities for diagnostic treatment and major surgery and offer nursing care 24 hours a day. It does not include a nursing home, rest home, home for the aged, sanatorium, convalescent hospital or a facility for treating alcohol or drug abuse or beds set aside for any of these purposes in a hospital.
