The eccentricity of an orbit is a measure of its departure from a circle. Elliptical orbits have an eccentricity >0 and <1, parabolic paths have an eccentricity =1, and hyperbolic paths have an eccentricity >1.

The effective carb count is determined by subtracting those carbohydrates that have a negligible effect on blood sugar levels from the total carbohydrates. Examples include fiber, glycerine & maltitol, which may or may not be listed on the label. Example: If the label reads: Total Carbohydrates 15g, 10g Sugar Alcohol, 4g Dietary Fiber. Subtract Sugar Alcohol and Dietary Fiber. The effective carb count is 1g. (15 ?0 ?4 = 1).
