| cluster |
In a set of elements, a cluster is a subset of elements that are relatively near each other and relatively far and separated from other elements. To "cluster" a set is to identify the sets of similar elements. For example, a set of documents could be clustered so that documents on the same topics are put in separate clusters -- identified by the presence of the same low frequency words.
