left ventricular heart failure Failure of the heart to maintain left ventricular output.
Ãâó:
left ventricular hypertrophy A process in which the heart becomes enlarged and does not work efficiently. The left ventricle is the chamber of the heart that pumps blood from the lungs around the body. Prolonged strain on the heart, for example, because of anaemia or high blood pressure, can lead to LVH. LVH weakens the heart and increases the risk of heart attacks.
