| vitelline duct |
"vitelline" refers to the yolk sac therefore the vitelline duct or "yolk stalk" is an endodermal channel between the yolk sac and the developing mid-gut. The term "vitelline" is also used to describe the blood vessels associated with the yolk sac (vitelline arteries and vitelline veins).
