| methylenetetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase (NADP+) |
[EC 1.5.1.5] an enzyme activity of the oxidoreductase class that catalyzes the oxidation of 5,10-methylenetetrahydrofolate to 5,10-methenyltetrahydrofolate, using NADP+ as an electron acceptor. The reaction occurs in the system of folate-mediated one-carbon transfer reactions. The enzyme activity is part of a trifunctional enzyme that also includes methenyltetrahydrofolate cyclohydrolase and formatetetrahydrofolate ligase activities.
