a generalized form of epidermolysis bullosa often present at birth or in early infancy, and marked by atrophy of previously blistered areas, severe scarring after healing, and dystrophy or absence of the nails. It occurs in autosomal dominant and recessive forms. Called also dermatolytic bullous dermatosis.
