airborne An airborne unit is normally considered one dropped by parachute. These units undergo a chance of being destroyed or otherwise incapacitated because of the dangerous techniques they use in getting on the ground. Airlanding units are units that are landed normally on an airfield in or very close to enemy territory. An airmobile unit is a unit that is landed by helicopter.
