| Henoch-Schönlein p. |
a form of nonthrombocytopenic purpura, sometimes a type of hypersensitivity vasculitis and sometimes of unknown cause, usually seen in children and associated with a variety of clinical symptoms including urticaria and erythema, arthropathy and arthritis, gastrointestinal symptoms, and renal involvement. Called also allergic or anaphylactoid p., Schönlein-Henoch p., and Schönlein-Henoch syndrome.
