vena profunda linguae <anatomy, vein> The principle vein of the tongue that accompanies the deep lingual artery and joins the lingual vein. It drains the body and apex of the tongue, running posteriorly near the median plane; they are often visible through the mucosa on the underside of the tongue, to each side of the frenulum.

vena rectalis superior <anatomy, vein> It drains the greater part of the rectal venous plexus, and ascends between the layers of the mesorectum to the brim of the pelvis, where it becomes the inferior mesenteric vein. As a tributary of the portal vein, it forms a portocaval anastomosis with the middle and inferior rectal veins (caval tributaries) via the rectal venous plexus.

vena saphena parva <anatomy, vein> Arises on the lateral side of the foot from a union of the dorsal vein of the little toe with the dorsal venous arch, ascends behind the lateral malleolus, along the lateral border of the calcanean tendon and then through the middle of the calf to the lower portion of the popliteal space where it empties into the popliteal vein.
