Jade is a very hard agate-type stone that comes in a variety of colors from green to red to cream. It is not native to Wa and must be imported from the mainland empire of Kara. Because of its scarcity, jade is greatly prized. Jade pestle is a euphemism for male genitalia, while jade gate is a euphemism for female genitalia. The connotation here is that jade itself, and the various organs described as jade, are rare, precious and infinitly valuable things
