parallel Term used to describe the interconnection of cells or batteries in which all the like terminals are connected together (positive to positive, negative to negative). parallax The apparent shift of an object as it is observed from different locations. For example, having two eyes allows your brain to consider the parallax and gives you the benefit of improved depth perception.
