The lane that used to be the favorite qualifying lane on the King tracks of the '60's. Today the favorite lane is the Orange lane. This shift in preference is probably caused by two factors. The increased speed of today's cars, and the fact that with the new 42 inch wide tracks, the position on the track is different now on every lane. Counting down from red, the blue lane is the #5 lane.
