Stanford The Stanford Achievement Test provides a comparison of achievement to a national group on a sample of grade level curriculum. The purpose is to provide a comparative rank, the national percentile rank, to show how a single student performs compared to peers nationally. Group results are unstable for small groups of students, therefore, the Stanford better demonstrates group performance for large groups of students, several hundred or more.
