| 설명 | 1. 인체의 전표면을 뒤덮는 피부 및 이에 부속하는 털, 손톱, 피부샘(땀샘, 기름샘) 및 유방 등을 총칭해서 외피라고 한다. 2. 동물의 거죽이나 몸 안의 여러 기관을 싸고 있는 세포층을 통틀어 이르는 말. 대개 피부의 외층을 이르는데 파충류의 비늘, 조류의 날개털, 포유류의 털, 손톱, 발톱 따위와 같이 화골하기도 한다. 그 기능은 몸을 외계로부터 기계적으로 보호하고 외계와의 사이에서 가스교환을 한다(피부호흡). 또, 체내로부터의 수분의 과도한 증발을 방지하고, 체내에서 발생한 열의 발산을 방지한다. |
