a variant of osteosarcoma resembling Ewing's sarcoma, composed of small round to spindle-shaped cells arranged in sheets or separated into lobules by fibrous septa, and having areas of osteoid and sometimes chondroid formation; called also polyhistiocytoma and multipotential primary sarcoma of bone.
