| 설명 | 어떤 질병이나 외상이 치유된 후에 남는 변형 또는 기능장애. 병이나 외상으로 인하여 조직이 파괴되어, 그 일부는 수복되어도 나머지 부분은 조직의 결손으로 영구히 남게 되며, 병의 경과 중에 2차적으로 나타난 장애도 영구히 남는 수가 있다. 그 밖에 병의 치유과정이 변형이나 장애를 남기는 결과가 되는 경우도 있다. 조직의 파괴를 수반하는 병이 치유되는 경우, 조직의 결손을 메우기 위해 결합조직이 생겨 이것이 수축하여 반흔을 남기거나 기관의 접촉면에 유착을 남긴다. 병 자체가 아직 진행 중인 경우의 변형이나 기능장애는 증세라고 하며 후유증이라고는 하지 않는다. 예를 들면, 중풍에서의 팔다리마비, 뇌염에서의 정신적-신체적 장애 따위이다. 관절류마티스에서 관절의 변형, 당뇨병 때문에 일어난 망막의 변화에 의한 시력장애 등이 이에 속한다. |
