| 설명 | 통계용어로, 통계적인 관찰의 대상이 되는 집단 전체. 측정이나 조사를 하기 위하여 표본을 뽑아내는 바탕이 된다. 이에 대해 모집단에서 선출된 일부는 표본이라고 한다. 실제 조사에서는 모집단의 모든 정보를 파악하는 것이 곤란하기 때문에, 추출한 표본에 기초하여 모집단에 대해서 결론을 내리게 된다. |

| acoustic reference level | The biological reference level for sound measurements. When the term decibel is used to indicate the noise level, a reference quantity is implied; this reference value is usually expressed as a sound pressure of 20 micronewtons per square meter.
