| 설명 | 여러 원인으로 안구가 이상하게 앞쪽으로 돌출되어 있는 상태. 주된원인은, 1.머리뼈 기형, 2.안구가 들어있는 머리뼈속의 공간인 눈확 속에 비정상적인 내용물의 증량에 의한 것(눈확 속의 조직의 염증, 눈확속에 생기는 종양 등의 병), 3.안구 자체의 팽창에 의한 것(선천성 녹내장(선천적으로 안구의 내압이 증가하는 병. 그 내압에 의해서 눈이 커진다)이나 드물게는 심한 근시 등이 있다. 머리뼈 기형이나 전신적으로 생기는 병에 기인하는 예의 대부분은 양쪽 눈 모두가 돌출하는 경우가 거의 대부분이다. 돌출상태가 심하고 눈꺼풀을 닫는 일이 불가능한 상태가 계속되면 눈의 표면의 조직이 건조해져서 염증이나 심한 경우엔 안구의 천공이 생길 수도 있어서 위험하다). |
