| 설명 | 1. 같은 종의 생물이면서도 어떤 형태나 형질이 다양하게 나타나는 현상. 예를 들면 암수에 따라 크기, 형태, 색깔 따위가 차이나는 것이다. 2. 어떤 조직이나 세포가 여러 형태를 나타내는 것. 예컨데 종양세포가 ‘다형성을 나타낸다’라는 것은 세포 혹은 핵의 현저한 크기 차이, 형태의 부정형, 거세포나 다핵거세포의 혼재, 핵-세포질 비율의 증대, 염색질의 증가, 이상 핵분열상, 핵소체의 명료화 등이 나타나는데 이것을 가리킨다. 악성 종양은 다형성이 풍부한 것이 많다. 한편 조직구조상 다양성이라는 의미로도 사용되는데, 예를 들어 다형성 샘종과 같이 종양세포의 다양한 배열상태와 조직형태를 나타내는 것을 가리킨다. |
