Because eyelid skin is thin, lower fluences are recommended in this region to avoid scarring. I use a small square scan pattern with 30 to 50 percent pattern overlap and 10 J/cm 2 per pass. Generally, two passes are made on the intraocular skin and three passes in the crow's feet, where the skin is thicker.
