Is highly contagious and frequently fatal. It has a rapid onset and is transmitted through direct contact or dishes, bedding, cages, or owner. Symptoms vary and include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and a white blood cell count drop (leading to secondary infection). Dehydration or second infection causes death. Vaccinate to prevent.
