| neurofibroma, plexiform | A type of neurofibroma representing an anomaly rather than a true neoplasm, in which the proliferation of schwann cells occurs from the inner aspect of the nerve sheath, thereby resulting in an irregularly thickened, distorted, tortuous structure.
