a leptospirosis marked by fever and jaundice, first reported in Japan and caused by Leptospira interrogans (formerly believed to be caused specifically by the serovar L. hebdomadis); the animal host is the field vole, Microtus montebelli. Called also nanukayami disease or fever, akiyami, seven-day fever, autumn fever, and gikiyami.
