5-methyltetrahydrofolate-homocysteine s-methyltransferase <enzyme> An enzyme that catalyses the formation of methionine by transfer of a methyl group from 5-methyltetrahydrofolate to homocysteine. It requires a cobamide coenzyme. The enzyme can act on mono- or triglutamate derivatives.
