| 설명 | 1. 하나의 동물개체에 암수의 형질이 모두 발달하는 것. 남녀딴몸에 대응되는 말이다. 암수의 생식기관이 같은 시기에 함께 성숙해 암수의 성질-기능이 거의 동시에 하나의 개체에서 나타나는 경우(지렁이-정어리의 한 종류)도 있지만, 암컷 생식기관이 수컷 생식기관보다 앞서 성숙하는 경우(좀조개-놀래기)와 그 반대의 경우(감성돔)도 있으며, 암수 양생식샘에서 알과 정자가 교대로 몇 차례에 걸쳐 방출되는 경우(굴의 한 종류)도 있다. 남녀딴몸인 동물에서도 발생학적-해부학적 흔적기관으로서 암컷에는 수컷 생식기관이, 수컷에는 암컷 생식기관이 발달하는 경우도 적지 않다. 자웅동체 현상은 하등한 종에서 볼 수 있으므로 자웅이체 현상보다 원시적인 성형으로 생각된다. 2. 사람에서 남녀의 형질이 하나의 개체에서 모두 발달하는 것. 즉 한 개체내에서 고환과 난소가 동시에 발견되는 것 등이다. |

| 설명 | 남성의 생식기는 여러 기관으로 구성되어 있다. 고환, 부고환, 정관, 정낭, 전립샘, 외부성기(음경) 등으로 구성되는데, 실제적으로 정자를 생성하는 곳은 단 한 곳 고환뿐이며, 나머지 기관은 이를 돕는 기능을 수행하고 있다. 정자는 고환의 정세관이란 곳에서 만들어진 뒤에 밖으로 나와 긴 여정을 시작하게 된다. 그 뒤 부고환을 지나 좀 더 성숙해 진 뒤에 정관에서 정낭의 분비물과 만나고 다시 요도로 나가게 된다. 이때 요도 뒤쪽에 위치하는 전립샘의 분비물이 합쳐지게 되고 이 정액은 외부성기를 거쳐서 밖으로 나가게 된다.  |

| breast neoplasms, male | Any neoplasms of the male breast. These occur infrequently in males in developed countries, the incidence being about 1% of that in females. Two-thirds of patients present with intraductal carcinoma. The average age of onset is 60 years for men. Orchiectomy was the standard treatment but it has been replaced by tamoxifen as the initial therapy since oestrogen-receptor-positive tumours are predominant in males.
