| leukosarcomatosis | An obsolete term for a condition characterised initially by numerous widespread nodules or masses of lymphosarcoma, and the subsequent presence of similar cells in the circulating blood as in leukosarcoma. | leukosarcoma |
the development of a leukemic blood picture in patients originally having a well-differentiated, lymphocytic type of malignant lymphoma. The circulating cells contain an ovoid nucleus and nucleoli and are morphologically different from the mature-type lymphocyte seen in chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Called also leukolymphosarcoma and leukocytic sarcoma.
