| 설명 | 의사가 환자를 만나서 환자의 자각증상을 청취하고, 진찰에 의해 환자에게 나타나는 신체적 증상을 조사하며, 나아가 각종 검사를 통하여 환자에게 있는 이상상태를 정확히 파악한 결과를 가지고서 적절한 처치나 치료를 위한 근거를 얻는 일. 진단이라는 것은 단지 병명을 결정하는 것만이 아니라 환자가 표현하는 모든 이상과 병상을 정확하게 파악하는 것이다. 따라서 가능한한 다방면에 걸친 분석과 분류를 통하여 종합적인 판정을 내리는 일이 필요하다. 예를 들면 미국의 심장병학회는 심장병 환자의 진단을 내릴 때 5가지 관점에서 진단을 진행하도록 권유하고 있는데, 그것은 병인-구조-생리-기능-치료에 관한 분류에 기초한 다면적 진단이다. |
