| 영문 | ESR(Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) | 한글 | 적혈구침강속도, 혈침 |
|---|---|---|---|

| instantaneous rate | <epidemiology> In a short time interval (e.g a week), the number of events (e.g. Births in the UK) taking place during the interval is approximately proportional to the length of the interval. The constant of proportionality is the rate at which these events occur. This argument becomes more and more exact as the length of the time interval becomes shorter and shorter. When the time interval has shrunk to an instant, the rate has become an `instantaneous rate'. A bad term; just call it a rate. (05 Dec 1998) |
|---|---|
| incidence rate | The rate at which new events occur in a population. The numerator is the number of new events occurring in a defined period; the denominator is the population at risk of experiencing the event during this period. (05 Mar 2000) |
| instantaneous | 1. Done or occurring in an instant, or without any perceptible duration of time; as, the passage of electricity appears to be instantaneous. "His reason saw With instantaneous view, the truth of things." (Thomson) 2. at or during a given instant; as, instantaneous acceleration, velocity, etc. <physics> Instantaneous center of rotation, in a body which has motions both of translation and rotation, is a line, which is supposed to be rigidly united with the body, and which for the instant is at rest. The motion of the body is for the instant simply that of rotation about the instantaneous axis. Instanta"neously, Instanta"neousness. Origin: Cf. F. Instantane. | instantaneous electrical axis | The resultant axis of the electromotive forces developing in the heart at any given moment. (05 Mar 2000) |
| instantaneous vector | The resultant vector of the heart's action currents at any given moment, usually represented as an arrow of appropriate direction and magnitude. (05 Mar 2000) |
| angle of incidence | <optics> The angle that a ray entering a refracting medium makes with a line drawn perpendicular to the surface of this medium, the angle that a ray striking a reflecting surface makes with a line perpendicular to this surface. Synonym: incident angle. (05 Mar 2000) |
| plane of incidence | The plane perpendicular to a lens surface that contains the incident light ray. (05 Mar 2000) |
| incidence | 1. An act or the fact or manner of falling upon or affecting. 2. <statistics> Rate, range or amount of occurrence or influence. (18 Nov 1997) |
| incidence density | The person-time incidence rate. (05 Mar 2000) |
| abortion rate | The number of abortions per 1000 terminated pregnancies during a given period of time. (05 Mar 2000) |
| age-specific rate | A rate for a specified age group, in which the numerator and denominator refer to the same age group. (05 Mar 2000) |
| attack rate | A cumulative incidence rate used for particular groups observed for limited periods under special circumstances, such as during an epidemic. (05 Mar 2000) |
| average flow rate | <physiology> The flow rate determined by dividing the total volume passed in a time period divided by the time period, usually quoted in mls per minute. (05 Mar 2000) |
