| 설명 | 수면제는 중추신경을 가역적으로 억압시켜 수면을 유도하고 수면상태를 유지시키는 약물이며, 진정제는 흥분을 가라앉히고 평온 상태를 지속시키는 약물로 구별할 수 있으나 실제로는 진정제와 수면제와의 구별이 곤란하여 보통 진정-수면제로 분류하며 대부분 과량에서 전신마취작용을 나타낸다. 그러므로 진정-수면 및 전신마취는 일종의 비특이성 중추억압에 의한 현상으로 중추신경계가 억압받는 정도 차이일 뿐이다. 진정-수면제는 약물에 따라 항경련제, 근육이완제, 항불안제 및 전신마취제로도 사용된다. |
