| 설명 | 혈장단백질의 한 성분. 즉, 혈액에 함유되어 있는 단백질의 한 그룹에 붙여진 명칭. 1937년 A.W.K. 티셀리우스는 혈청의 단백질이 전기영동에 의해 알부민과 α, β, γ의 3종의 글로불린으로 분리된다는 것을 발견했다. 정상인은 감마 글로불린이 혈장단백질의 11~17%를 차지하지만 단백질로서는 균일하지 않고 비슷하게 생긴 무수히 많은 단백질의 혼합물이다. 그 중에서 약 80%는 분자량 약 16만의 분자종(I gG), 약 20%는 분자량 약 90만의 분자종(IgM)이고, 그 중간의 분자량을 가진 것도 소량이 존재한다. |

| hyperimmune | A state where the bodys immune system is extremely reactive against a particular antigen when it normally would not be.
