| Felty's syndrome |
a combination of seropositive rheumatoid arthritis (often with relatively inactive synovitis) with splenomegaly and neutropenia. It is associated with serious infections, vasculitis (leg ulcers, mononeuritis), anaemia, thrombocytopenia and lymphadenopathy.

a mouse protective unit of antipneumococcic serum; it is that quantity of antibody capable of protecting a white Swiss mouse against one million fatal doses of a standard pneumococcus culture of the corresponding type. Frequently, it is considered to be the equivalent of the National Institutes of Health control serum (P-11).
