| choledocholithiasis | <gastroenterology, surgery> This term describes the presence of gallstones within the biliary tract (common bile duct). Approximately 15% of individuals with gallstones will develop stones within the common bile duct. Symptoms include abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting.
