chlorisondamine <chemical> A nicotinic antagonist used primarily as a ganglionic blocker in animal research. It has been used as an antihypertensive agent but has been supplanted by more specific drugs in most clinical applications.
Pharmacological action: antihypertensive agents, ganglionic blockers, nicotinic antagonists.

chlorisondamine chloride 4,5,6,7-Tetrachloro-2-(2-dimethylaminoethyl)-2-methylisoin dolinium chloride;a quaternary ammonium compound with ganglionic blocking action similar to, but more potent than, hexamethonium and pentolinium; used in the management of severe hypertension, including the malignant phase.
