A metal device that used to secure bones or bone fragments so that they can heal. This is similar to the mending plates which are available from hardware stores.

A form of a trans-osseous implant in which a plate is placed partially into the inferior border, and a series of retentive pins are placed partially into the inferior border with two continuous screws going trans-cortically and penetrating the mouth in the-cuspid area.
