adenylyl The radical of adenylic acid minus an OH from the phosphoric group; often shortened to adenyl in compound names, such as adenylosuccinic acid.
(05 Mar 2000)
adenylyl imidodiphosphate <chemical> 5'-adenylic acid, monoanhydride with imidodiphosphoric acid. An analog of ATP, in which the oxygen atom bridging the beta to the gamma phosphate is replaced by a nitrogen atom. It is a potent competitive inhibitor of soluble and membrane-bound mitochondrial atpase and also inhibits ATP-dependent reactions of oxidative phosphorylation.
Chemical name: 5'-Adenylic acid, monoanhydride with imidodiphosphoric acid
(12 Dec 1998)

Registry number: EC 2.7.7.-
Synonym: adenylyl sulphate-ammonia adenylyltransferase, as-aat
(26 Jun 1999)
abietadiene cyclase <enzyme> Converts geranylgeranyl pyrophosphate to (-)-abieta-7(8),13(14)-diene; from lodgepole pine or grand fir
Registry number: EC 5.-
Synonym: abietadiene synthase
(26 Jun 1999)
adenosine diphosphate ribose cyclase <enzyme> Catalyses conversion of nadp to 2'-phospho-cyclic adenosine diphosphoribose; do not use for formation of cyclic adpribose (see ADP-ribosyl cyclase)
Registry number: EC 4.6.-
Synonym: 2'-p-adpr cyclase
(26 Jun 1999)
adenylate cyclase <enzyme> Enzyme responsible for the ATP.
(06 May 1997)

Registry number: EC 3.2.2.-
(26 Jun 1999)
mannopine cyclase <enzyme> Catalyses the conversion of mannopine to agropine
Registry number: EC 5.-
(26 Jun 1999)
geranyl pyrophosphate-sabinene hydrate cyclase <enzyme> Enzyme from sweet marjoram; catalyses cation-dependent cyclization of geranyl pyrophosphate to cis and trans sabinene hydrate, deriving oh from water, not from the pyrophosphate ester
