| Southwestern blot technique |
a technique analogous to Southern blot technique but in which proteins are separated electrophoretically, transferred to a nitrocellulose filter, and probed with radioactive or otherwise labeled fragment of DNA; performed to detect expression of a specific DNA binding protein, such as a transcription factor.
