| 설명 | 1. 강한 외력이 작용하여 뼈가 부분적으로 또는 완전히 이단된 상태. 큰 외력이 일시에 가해질 때는 외상성 골절. 만성적인 가압에 의할 때는 지속골절 또는 피로골절, 병적으로 조직이 침해되어 생기는 것은 병적 골절이라 한다. 골절은 긴통뼈 즉 넙다리뼈나 자뼈 등 외에 납작뼈, 즉 머리뼈 등에도 일어난다. 골절은 그 형상으로 본 선상골절-함몰골절 등과 같은 개방창을 수반하는 것을 개방골절 또는 복잡골절이라 한다. 긴통뼈의 골절은 그 골절단의 관계에서 굴절골절-전단골절-분쇄골절 등으로 구분된다. 골절의 치료는 골절단을 정위치에 접착시켜 양쪽의 골유합이 될 때까지 부동으로 고정시킨다. 긴통뼈로서 강한 근육이 부착되어 있는 부분에 골절이 생기면 이와같은 접착-고정이 쉽지 않기 때문에 여러 가지 방법이 고안-연구되어 왔다. 2. 구강외과적으로는 치아 또는 골조직의 파절이나 골절을 뜻하며, 보철영역에서는 의치나 클래스프의 파손 등을 통칭한다. |

| 설명 | 머리의 생김새를 외형으로 나타내는 머리의 골격을 이루는 뼈. 사람의 경우 23개가 있는데, 특징은 팔다리의 긴뼈의 일반적 형태와 달리 딱딱한 치밀뼈가 바깥쪽을 이루며 그 사이에 생긴 해면뼈가 존재하는 형태이다. 구성은 뇌를 간직하고 있는 위쪽의 뇌머리뼈와 얼굴을 구성하는 아래쪽의 얼굴머리뼈(viscerocranium)로 구성되며 뇌머리뼈는 윗부분의 머리덮개뼈(calvaria)와 아래쪽의 머리뼈 바닥으로 구분된다. 머리의 구성뼈는 모두 28개이며, 그 중 머리뼈를 구성하고 있는 것은 22개이고, 한 개는 혀 밑에 있는 목뿔뼈이며, 나머지 여섯 개는 귓속에 있는 고실뼈이다. 머리뼈를 구성하는 뼈는 다음과 같다. 1. 머리뼈.① 뇌머리뼈:마루뼈, 관자뼈, 이마뼈, 벌집뼈, 나미뼈, 뒤통수뼈. ② 얼굴머리뼈:코뼈, 눈물뼈, 하비갑개, 입천장뼈, 광대뼈, 보습뼈, 위턱뼈, 아래턱뼈. 2. 혀의 뼈:목뿔뼈. 3. 고실뼈:망치뼈, 모루뼈, 등자뼈. 기능은 뇌를 간직하며 보호하는 역할을 하고 눈, 귀, 코, 입 등의 감각기관이 들어갈 공간을 마련해주며 몸속으로 출입하는 호흡기와 소화기의 입구가 있으며 일부 뼈에는 치아라는 구조물을 갖추고 있어 음식을 씹는 기능을 수행한다. 머리뼈에서는 입을 움직이는 턱관절을 제외하고는 뼈와 뼈사이가 관절운동을 할 수 없는 형태의 섬유상 관절로 되어 있다. 섬유상 관절에는 봉합, 못박이관절(gomphosis), 인대결합(syndesmosis)의 세 종류가 있다.  |
